So much of the tone of your vacation can be determined by where you stay.
Hopefully, you don't spend too much time in your hotel room; but when you return from sight-seeing & adventure-seeking, you want to be comfortable, & more importantly, feel welcome.
Dave & I have decided to either "go big" or dirtbag it (camp) when traveling. Fortunately, most of this trip was a business expense for Dave, & he also got a discount for our hotel through his training.
We have really loved our stay at the friendly, artsy, dog-friendly Triton in San Francisco.
Complimentary tea & coffee in the morning. Fresh-baked cookies at 3:00. Wine tasting from 5 to 6. A little buddy for Eisley to play with in the lobby.
Romeo is the companion of the consierge & has been here almost every day. He & Eisley love chasing each other around, wrestling with the rope toy, & she always looks for him on his day off. It's cute.
The staff has been sincerely friendly; the rooms are small but clean, & the loud furnishings more than make up for the cozy size. They offered to clear out the mini bar fridge for us to use, & there was no additional "pet fee" per day for having Eisley here. We would quickly recommend the hotel & are willing to see if all Kimpton Hotels stack up to this one.
OTHER PHOTOS FROM OUR SAN FRANCISCO TRIP:
- I have a habit of taking photos while driving or passengering.
- Alcatraz in black-and-white
- I gathered the courage to ask a stranger on the street if I could take a photo of his awesome orange boots.
